I only found it because I googled the full quote you titled this entry with. It's one of my favorite quotes of all time from a favorite film, Liberty Heights. I try to remember and pay attention as wonderful moments happen but when you lose someone or time has passed you realize you never fully can remember has much as you'd want to. (if that makes sense) I lost a dear friend last week and it what sunk me into that quote and rewatching that movie. It's nice to randomly happen upon others who cope in similar ways. (Also Grey's is like torture, talk about nonstop cryfest, heh) And P.S. one my all-time-favorite Timothy Olyphant roles is in the movie Brokenhearts Club, another totally underrated, exceptional movie. The story dragged on a bit and I couldn’t help but think that if the writing was a tweaked a little better, this would have definitely been a very solid film. Instead it was just fun and pretty to look at. I think this one became my new favorite movie in the series, largely because it is the highest caliber acting in the series, stays rather true to the books, had brilliant cinematography and special effects and was the perfect ending to the series. My second favorite in the series is probably The Prisoner of Azkaban or The Half-Blood Prince.

An interesting bit about Alan Rickman. I read somewhere that right after he was cast as Snape for the first movie, J.K. Rowling took him aside and told him all about Snape's background, his history with Harry's parents, specifically Lily. I think that he's the caliber of actor that was able to use that information to just deepen his performance... you can see his conflict at times throughout the series and even a bit of a fatherly inclination at times towards Harry. I really hope he gets nominated for a few awards, because he definitely deserves them.

Also loved Neville in this one. His character was brilliant and Matthew Lewis did a great job bringing it to life. It's also a little funny - from the previews I thought I'd be disappointed with Dan Radcliffe's acting in this one, but it seems to me they took his worst bits for the previews. Odd choices there, but he was terrific and probably was his best performance in the series. I'm sad to see it end, but glad they finished it off appropriately and kept it true to the series.Gregnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7889712784607863496.post-51092252937377980872011-08-01T21:18:25.687-05:002011-08-01T21:18:25.687-05:00I think I am going to see it; even if only to help...I think I am going to see it; even if only to help out my boy Kevin Bacon who lost most of his net worth via Bernie Madoff. The first flick in the franchise was "The Fast and The Furious," I think the sequel you're thinking of is the unoriginally named "Fast and Furious." Second thing: how can you bag on "The Pacifier?" It's a fantastic movie that shows Vin's softer side and also includes a bit of "The Sound of Music." I mean, how can that be bad? To top it off, it even includes such actors as Robert from Raymond and the mom from Gilmore Girls. I've never seen Little Women all the way through! But, after reading this, I'll have to give ...it a try. It's funny how I also think of Rent as a holiday movie because of when the plot takes place, moreso than the plot itself.

The scene I believe you're referring to in The Family Stone is the dinner table scene?
